Drumlin House

Situated atop a drumlin — a hill of sediment dragged by glacial flows — outside Germantown, New York, Drumlin House reimagines the shell of an existing ranch home to create a single expansive interior.

The renovation removes partitions to form one large room with panoramic views east and west, allowing light to pass across the space throughout the day. Small partition-objects anchor moments of entry, security, and socializing, while the rest of the home remains open and untouched.

This approach preserves much of the original structure while enhancing flexibility, creating a residence that is both simple and generous in its spatial character.
