Brooklyn Townhouse

CoPa was asked to design the renovation of an abandoned townhouse in Gowanus Brooklyn into a two-family home for a local couple looking to downsize.

Luxurious dark toned bricks were used to revitalize this existing townhouse facade. The subtle sheen radiating off of the bricks are enhanced by the coal trim at the windows and new contemporary cornice.

A muted palette brings focus to the resident’s collection of artwork. Custom millwork allowed the small spaces typically found in a Brooklyn townhouse to become open spaces to cook and entertain.

Built-in closets, storage, and lighting allows the resident to keep their possessions organized and out of sight.

Quiet moments fill the townhouse bringing focus to the craftsmanship that allowed this 1850 structure to become a contemporary residence.
